I am a recognized expert in the fields of Firearms Analysis & Ballistics, Shooting & Crime Scene Reconstruction, Gunshot Residue Analysis, & Blood Spatter Analysis. I have been in the Forensic field for over 24 years. I have over 12 years of law enforcement experience with both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, as a firearms examiner and the Atlanta Police Department, as the Director of the Atlanta Police Crime Lab. I have been the President of my own company for the past 12 1/2 years and I also provide forensic seminars in a variety of areas across the country.
 
I have worked cases involving unintentional discharges of firearms, police shootings, homicides, suicides, and assaults. I have provided expert testimony in firearms & ballistics, shooting & crime scene reconstruction, bloodstain pattern analysis, & gunshot residue analysis in state and federal courts in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Iowa, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, Missouri, Kansas, Alabama, Minnesota, Alaska and many others.

  • Shooting incident reconstruction is the examination of the physical evidence recovered or documented at the scene of a shooting. Shooting reconstruction may also include the laboratory analysis of the evidence recovered at the scene.
  • Crime scene reconstruction is the forensic science discipline in which one gains “explicit knowledge of the series of events that surround the commission of a crime using deductive and inductive reasoning, physical evidence, scientific methods, and their interrelationships”.
